Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis/Fasciosis (inflammation v. degeneration) is the most common cause of heel pain. The plantar fascia is the thick tissue that connects your heel bone to your toes. Straining that tendon can cause tiny tears which leads to a stabbing pain which is usually worse in the morning, but can be trigged by not enough body movement during the day. Plantar Fasciitis/Fasciosis can result from wearing shoes that don’t have proper arch support, standing or walking for long periods, being overweight or having tight Achilles Tendons.
